Restaurant Style Salsa

INGREDIENTS
- 4 Fresh large tomatoes, halved
- 5-6 Japan chilies
- 1 Tbsp olive oil
- (Small dark red dried chilies found in mex food section in plastic bags hanging on racks)
- 1 Tsp Garlic powder
- 1 Tsp salt
- Juice of one large lemon or lime
DIRECTIONS
- Place tomatoes under broiler skin side up and allow to char until tops are black.
- Remove stem from chilies, and shake until seeds are out.
- Place onto a saucepan with olive oil and allow to char.
- (This takes about 10 seconds and it will smell, so turn on the fan)
- Place all of this into a blender with remaining ingredients and blend until pureed.
- You can add to this: Freshly diced tomatoes, white onion and cilantro if you wish, but it is just as good as it is.
