Rich Chocolate Cake

  • 1t/4 cups fine sugar
  • 7 tablespoons al-purpose flour
  • 1 cup Ghirardelli choc chips (dark)
  • Powdered/Confectioners sugar
DIRECTIONS
  1. Preheat oven 400*
  2. Butter an 11" round baking pan (with removable bottom)
  3. 1 - Melt butter and chocolate together over double boiler or in microwave. Set aside to
  4. cool slightly
  5. 2 -In a large mixing bowl, combine the eggs, sugar and flour using a manual whisk (it
  6. combines very easily)
  7. 3 - Add the melted chocolate and butter to the egg mixture and combine with the
  8. whisk. Fold in the chocolate chips •
  9. 4 - Pour into prepared pan and bake for 25-30 minutes.
  10. Set on wire rack to cool before unmolding. When completely cool cover with powdered
  11. sugar using a sieve.
