Rita’s Beef Strogonoff
INGREDIENTS
- Servings: Serves 6
- 1-1/2 lbs round steak, cut in pieces
- 2 C stock
- Salt
- 1 lb mushrooms
- Pepper
- large onion (chopped)
- 1 T flour
- 1/2 C sour cream
- 2 T butter
DIRECTIONS
- Brown flour in butter.
- Work to a smooth paste.
- Stir in stock gradually.
- Bring to a boil.
- Add mushrooms.
- Sear meat in butter with chopped onion.
- When brown, put pieces of meat in sauce.
- Simmer for 5 minutes.
- Add sour cream.
- Heat and serve.
