Rum Frosting

INGREDIENTS
  • 1/2 c. softened butter
  • 4 c. sifted powdered sugar
  • 2 tblsp milk
  • 1-2 tblsp dark rum
  • 1 tsp vanilla
DIRECTIONS
  1. In a large bowl, beat softened butter with an electric mixer until fluffy.
  2. Gradually add 2 c. sifted powdered sugar, beating well.
  3. Slowly beat in milk, dark rum and vanilla. (Mixture may appear curdled).
  4. Slowly beat in 2 c. sifted powdered sugar.
  5. If necessary, add more milk to make
  6. spreadable.
