S & J's Baked Apples

  • 2 apples
  • a sprinkle of oats
  • a spot of brown sugar
  • a few tablespoons of butter
  • a pinch each of salt and cinnamon
DIRECTIONS
  1. Core apples, leaving the bottom intact, although you will need to shave a little off if it's wonky. Sprinkle a bit of brown sugar and cinnamon into the apples. Add butter. You can stop here if you're a purist, but we like to mix some oats with brown sugar, salt and cinnamon and press the mixture on top. Bake around 20 minutes at 200 C (390 F) but check at 10 minutes.
