INGREDIENTS
  • 2 1/2 cups flour
  • 1 pkg fast action yeast
  • 1 1/2 cups water
  • 1 tbsp. sugar
  • 2 1/2 cups flour
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1 tbsp. baking powder
  • Add water to make a soft dough
  • about 1 pound of shredded Pork
  • 1 tbsp. soy sauce
  • 1 tsp. garlic salt
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/4 tsp. pepper
DIRECTIONS
  1. 2 1/2 cups flour
  2. 1 pkg fast action yeast
  3. 1 1/2 cups water
  4. 1 tbsp. sugar
  5. Mix together.
  6. or for non yeast dough
  7. 2 1/2 cups flour
  8. 1/4 cup sugar
  9. 1 tbsp. baking powder
  10. Add water to make a soft dough
  11. Mix together
  12. Filling
  13. About 1 pound of shredded Pork
  14. 1 tbsp. soy sauce
  15. 1 tsp. garlic salt
  16. 1/2 tsp. salt
  17. 1/4 tsp. pepper
  18. Mix to taste in quantities enough to fill the dough
  19. Take portions of dough and make a flat round of about 6 inches across. Put filling in centre and seal the dough to form a ball. Steam the balls in a steamer until done.
RECIPE BACKSTORY
I used to work with a Filipino man who was the cook in his home. Occasionally he would bring in some of his cooking. The name of this is as he pronounced it. This is his recipe. Everyone in the office loved it.
