SAVORY MUSHROOMS

INGREDIENTS
- 1 tbsp. butter or margarine
- 1 tbsp. flour
- 1 tsp. kitchen bouquet
- 1/2 tsp. oregano
- 1 beef bouillon cube or 1 tsp. granular
- pinch of salt
- 1/3 cup water
- 3 tbsp. dry white wine
- 1/2 lb. fresh sliced mushrooms
- 3 tbsp. minced fresh parsley
DIRECTIONS
- I've done these in a crock pot and they work just as well. You just don't need a whole day in a crock pot for them to be ready. But I often do this for potlucks and do about 3 pounds of mushrooms and increase the other ingredients.

- 1 tbsp. butter or margarine
- 1 tbsp. flour
- 1 tsp. kitchen bouquet
- 1/2 tsp. oregano
- 1 beef bouillon cube or 1 tsp. granular
- pinch of salt
- 1/3 cup water
- 3 tbsp. dry white wine
- 1/2 lb. fresh sliced mushrooms
- 3 tbsp. minced fresh parsley
- Melt butter in saucepan.
- Mix in flour, kitchen bouquet, oregano, bouillon and salt.
- Stir in water, wine and mushrooms.
- Cook over medium high heat stirring constantly until mixture comes to a boil and thickens. Cover, reduce heat and simmer 3 minutes, stirring often.
- Stir in parsley.
- Serve as a side with beef or burgers.
- If using with chicken use tarragon instead of oregano and chicken bouillon instead of beef.
