SWEET AND SOUR RIBS (Serves 4)

- Brown Sugar Sauce:
- 2 cups firm packed brown sugar
- 1/4 cup flour
- 1/3 cup water
- 1/2 cup white vinegar
- 2 Tbs. soy sauce or to taste
- 2 Tbs. Ketchup
- 1/4 tsp ground ginger or to taste
- 1/2 tsp granulated garlic or garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 3 lbs meaty pork spareribs cut into 2 or 3 rib sections
DIRECTIONS
- Brown Sugar Sauce: Mix brown sugar and flour in a saucepan. Add water.
- Stir. Add the next 6 ingredients. Heat and stir until boiling and
- thickened.
- Layer ribs in a crock pot, spooning sauce over each layer. Cover. Cook on Low for 10 hours or on High for 5 to 6 hours until ribs are very tender.
