Salisbury Steaks

INGREDIENTS
- 2 onions, divided
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1/2 cup soft bread crumbs
- 3/4 teaspoon salt
- Dash nutmeg
- 1 1/2 cups sliced mushrooms
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 1 teaspoon cornstarch blended with 1/2 cup water
- 1 beef bouillon cube
- Pepper, to taste
DIRECTIONS
- Mince half an onion; mix with beef, bread crumbs, salt and nutmeg. Shape into 4 steak-shaped patties and sauté in a skillet for 4 minutes. Remove patties from skillet and keep warm. Drain fat from skillet.
- Slice remaining onion. Sauté with mushrooms in butter until tender. Add cornstarch mixture and bouillon to onion mixture. Cook and thicken. Add pepper and spoon onto steaks.
