Salmon over Black Rice

  • 1 cup uncooked black rice
  • 1 pound salmon
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon turmeric
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice
  1. Preheat the oven to 350° F. Cook the black rice according to the package directions.
  2. Place the salmon in an oiled baking pan.
  3. Combine the garlic powder, turmeric, and pepper in a small bowl. Sprinkle the seasoning combination on top of the salmon along with the lemon juice.
  4. Bake the salmon for 15 minutes, then serve over black rice.
Simple with an exotic touch and a great source of Omega-3's.
