Sausage, Cannellini & Macaroni

INGREDIENTS
  • 1 tbl extra virgin olive oil
  • 1/2 to 2/3 lbs sweet italian sausage
  • 1/2 to 2/3 lbs hot italian sausage
  • 3 cloves crushed garlic
  • 1 small onion chopped
  • 1 can (28-32 oz) chunky style crushed tomatoes
  • 1 can cannellini beans, rinsed & drained
  • 20 leaves fresh basil, torn
  • 1 lb ziti rigati, cooked al dente
DIRECTIONS
  1. Medium/high heat, add oil & sausage.
  2. Break meat up as it brown, add garlic & onion & cook 5 minutes stirring frequently.
  3. Reduce to med/low add tomatoes & beans, simmer 2 or 3 minutes.
  4. Remove pan from heat, fold in basil to wilt. Combine sausage mix w. macaroni & serve immediately w. grated parmagian.
