Sausage Cornbread Bake
  • 1 lb bulk sausage
  • 1 lg onion chopped
  • 2 eggs, lightly beaten
  • 1 1/2 C Martha White Buttermilk Self-rising Corn Meal Mix
  • 1-17 oz can creamed corn
  • 3/4 C milk
  • 2 C grated sharp Cheddar Cheese
  1. Preheat oven to 425°.
  2. Grease a 10 1/2" skillet or 2 qt. baking dish.
  3. Set aside. Brown sausage and onion in a medium skillet; drain well. Combine eggs, corn meal, corn, and milk.
  4. Pour half of the corn meal mixture into the prepared pan; sprinkle with sausage mixture and cheese.
  5. Pour remaining corn meal mixture over the top.
  6. Bake 30-40 minutes. Let cool 10 minutes.
