Sauteed Bananas With Cream Cheese Sauce
CATEGORIES
INGREDIENTS
  • 4 small bananas
  • 3 Tbs splenda for baking
  • 5 oz fat free cream cheese
  • 1/2 C Skim or 1% milk
  • 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
DIRECTIONS
  1. Cube cream cheese and place in sauce pan to soften. Mean while peel bananas and slice to a desired thickness, do not slice too thin as they will become mushy when sauteed. Spriknle bananas with 1/2 of the cinnamon or to taste. Spray a skillet with butter flavored spray and heat over medium high heat. Add bananas to pan. After a few minutes check them, if they are browned turned them over, if not let them cook a little longer. They basically caramelize and give a great flavor. When the bananas are done cover to keep warm and set aside. Combine the splenda, milk and remaining cinnamon in the sauce pan with the cream cheese. Heat over low flame stirring constantly to melt the cream cheese, try not to boil the suace. Once it is melted and creamy divide the bananas into 4 bowls, top each with a fourth of the cream sauce. A dollop of fat free cool whip and an extra dash of cinnamon add a nice touch.
