Sesame Chicken Wings

  • 3 pounds chicken wings, about 2 to 2 1/2 dozen
  • 1 cup butter
  • 1 1/2 cups sifted all-purpose flour
  • 6 tablespoons sesame seeds
  • 2 teaspoons salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
DIRECTIONS
  1. Cut off and discard chicken wing tips; cut each wing in half at the
  2. joint. Wash and pat dry.
  3. Melt butter in a large shallow baking pan or roasting pan. Combine
  4. flour, sesame seeds, salt, and ginger in pie plate.
  5. Roll chicken wing pieces, one at a time, in the butter, letting excess
  6. drip off. Roll each wing piece in sesame seed mixture, coating well. Set
  7. on waxed paper until all are coated. Arrange the wings in a single layer
  8. in the same baking pan in the remaining butter. Bake in a preheated
  9. 350° oven until tender and nicely browned on the bottom, about 1 hour.
  10. Turn broiler on and broil for about 5 minutes to brown tops.
