Sesame-Soy-Glazed Baby Bok Choy
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons chicken broth
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
  • 2 teaspoons Asian sesame oil
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 3 tablespoons oil
  • 4 baby boy choys ( about 4 ounces each), each head halved lengthwise
  • 3 garlic cloves minced ( 1 tablespoon)
  • 1 inch pieace fresh ginger (1 tablespoon)
  • 1 medium scallions, sliced thin
  • 1 tablespoon sesame seeds toasted in a small dry skillet over
  1. Combine soy,broth, vingar, sesame oil and sugar in a small bowl.
  2. Heat largeskillet over high heat, about 2 min,add 2 tablespoons oil. Place boy choy in skillet, cut side down in a single layer. Cook until light brown. Turn boy choy snd cook until lightly brown about 1 min. transfer to large warm platter.
  3. Add garlic,ginger, and scallions to now empty pan and drizzle with 1 tablespon oil. Cook, stirring constantly, about 20 seconds. Add soy sauce mixture and simmer until reduced and thickened. return boy choy to pan and cook, until glazed with sauce. about 1 minute. Sprinkle with seasame seeds and serve.
