Slider Buns using Grandmas GF Bread Mix

  • Cooking Time: 20 minutes bake time
  • Servings: 1 lb Bread Mix makes 12 sliders/1 1/2 lb Bread Mix makes 24 slider buns
  • Preparation Time: 1 hour & 15 minutes including 1 hour raise time.
  • If using 1 1/2 lb loaf bread mix:
  • 1 1/2 c. milk
  • 1/4 c. olive oil (or oil of choice)
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 package Grandmas GF Bread Mix for 1 1/2 lb bread +2 hamburger buns
  • If using 1 lb loaf bread mix:
  • 3/4 c. milk
  • 2 T. olive oil (or oil of choice)
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 package Grandmas GF Bread Mix for 1 lb bread
DIRECTIONS
  1. Heat milk in microwave on high for 2 minutes. Meanwhile using either a stand mixer or a hand mixer, add heated milk and oil, beat on low speed. Add eggs and continue beating. Turn off mixer, add bread mix, stirring in by hand until moistened. Turn mixer back on and beat for 1 minute. Pour batter into muffin pans that have been heavily greased on the sides and lined on the bottoms with parchment paper or wax paper (or use cupcake papers). Let raise in a warm place until doubled. Bake in an oven preheated to 350 F for 20 minutes. Cool in pans for 5 minutes then remove to wire rack to cool completely. Since there are no preservatives in these slider buns, keep out what you will eat in the next day or so and freeze the remainder to use as needed.
RECIPE BACKSTORY
My grandson, David enjoys having his school friends over for sleepovers. It is fun to serve slider hamburgers of various flavor combinations. Teens seem to really enjoy dreaming up combinations for their burgers, and they never know they are eating gluten free!
