Slider Buns

  • Preparation Time: 10-15 minutes
  • 1 1/2 c. water
  • 1/4 c. olive oil
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 t. salt
  • 1-3 T. sugar
  • 1 T. yeast
  • 3 1/2 c. GGFG Baking Mix (or mix of your choice, check if your mix has zanthum gum before adding any more)_
  • 1 T. zanthum gum
  1. Preheat oven to 375 F. Microwave water on high for 2 ½ minutes, pour in mixer bowl and start mixer on low; add olive oil, eggs, sugar, and salt. Mix well. Add yeast, mix . Turn off mixer and add Baking Mix and zanthum gum; stir by hand until moistened. Turn on mixer and beat well. Put batter into muffin pan lined with parchment paper, smooth top, slash with a knife. Bake for 20 minutes. Cool in pan for 5 minutes, turn out onto wire rack to cool completely before storing in plastic bags. Freezes well.
These make wonderful dinner rolls and slider buns for sandwiches. We especially enjoy them with chicken, egg, ham, or tuna salads.
