Slow Cooker Beef with Mushrooms
INGREDIENTS
- 2½ pound chuck roast
- 1 onion, sliced thinly
- 1 - 8 ounce package whole button mushrooms
- ½ teaspoon garlic pepper seasoning
- 1 tablespoon worcestershire sauce
- ½ teaspoon beef powdered beef bouillon
- ½ cup water
DIRECTIONS
- Layer onions and mushrooms in bottom of the crock pot.
- Rub worcestershire sauce into meat as well as you possibly can.
- Place beef in slow cooker, sprinkle with garlic pepper seasoning.
- Mix powdered bouillion and water and pour around the edges of the crock pot, try to avoid rinsing the worcestershire off the roast.
- Cover, cook on low 7 to 8 hours, longer will not hurt this at all!
- The top of the roast becomes a lovely deep dark brown and the resulting broth is fantastic.
