Smoked Sausage and pineapple in sweet & sour sauce
INGREDIENTS
- 1 Smoked sausage (1 lb.) cut into slices
- 1 can pine apple chunks
- 1/2 C. brown sugar
- 1 C. ketchup
- 2 T. corn starch
- 1 T. cider vinegar
- 2 T. soy sauce
- 2 green onions, sliced (optional)
DIRECTIONS
- Drain pineapple and reserve 1/2 cup of juice. Put the sliced sausage in the skillet, turn to medium.
- In a bowl mix the pine apple juice and soy sauce with the corn starch with a wisk,add ketchup, vinegar and brown sugar.
- Add pineapple and the sauce to the sausage and cook until sauce is thickened (it needs to boil) and everything is heated through.
- Serve with hot rice if desired.
