Sopaipilla Cake

  • 2 cans crescent rolls
  • 1 (8 oz.) cream cheese
  • 1 1/2 c. granulated sugar
  • 1 stick butter
  • cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  1. Spray 13" cake pan with Pam; unroll one can crescent rolls and lay in pan for bottom layer; mix cream cheese, 1 c. sugar and 1 tsp. vanilla; beat well; spread on bottom layer of rolls; sprinkle with cinnamon; lay second can of rolls on top of cheese layer; melt butter; mix butter with 1/2 c. of sugar; pour sauce over top of cake; sprinkle with cinnamon; bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes or until brown.
This is a bar type cookie but with a cake name. I used to let my kids make this and give thier teachers for Christmas.
