Sour Cream Cake
  • 2 sticks of butter
  • 3 cups of sugar
  • 6 eggs
  • 3 cups flour, {sifted 2 times with baking soda}
  • 1/4 tsp. baking soda
  • 2 cups sour cream, (16 ounces)
  • 2 tsp. real vanilla flavoring
  1. Cream butter, add sugar a little at a time, & cream the two well. Add eggs, one at a time until each is barely beaten in. On low speed of your mixer, add flour & soda mixture & sour cream, alternating each a little at a time until well blended & mixture is creamy. Bake in a 350-degree oven for 1 hour & 15 minutes, or until a straw inserted in the center comes out clean in a tube or Bundt pan,

This was one of my favorite cakes to take to church events & to families who needed comforting, Not many people make cakes like this, so you never have to worry about being caught with 2 of the same thing there.
