Sour Cream Coffee Cake

INGREDIENTS
  • 1 stick margarine
  • 1 stick butter
  • 1 1/2 cups sugar
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 2 eggs, well beaten
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 cup finely chopped pecans
  • Additional 1 1/2 tsp sugar for topping
  • 2 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
DIRECTIONS
  1. Cream butter, margarine, sugar, and sour cream; add eggs and vanilla -beat well.
  2. Combine dry ingredients and add to creamed mixture and beat well.
  3. Thoroughly grease a 10 inch tube pan.
  4. Make topping by combing nuts, 1 1/2 tsp sugar and cinnamon.
  5. In bottom of well-greased tube pan, put 1/3 of topping mixture.
  6. Alternate layers of batter and topping, ending with batter.
  7. Bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes.
