Sour Cream Sugar Cookies

  • 2 c. sugar
  • 4-5 c flour
  • 1 c butter
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 tsp soda
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1 c sour cream
  • 1 tsp nutmeg
  1. Pre-heat oven to 375
  2. Cream butter and sugar until fluffy, then add eggs and vanilla and beat well, then mix in sour cream.
  3. Stir in four cups flour and other dry ingredients. Mix well.
  4. Use fifth cup of flour to mix into dough as you roll and cut the cookies.
  5. Bake for 8-12 minutes. Let cool before frosting and enjoy!
  6. In the more humid regions, try using a little less sour cream to reduce the need for adding extra flour.
