Steamed Artichoke with Lemon Butter Sauce
INGREDIENTS

  • 2-4 artichokes
  • 1 Tablespoon butter
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice
DIRECTIONS
  1. Rinse the artichokes and remove the stems and any small leaves surrounding the stems. Cut the top third off the head of the artichokes.
  2. Place a steamer into a large pot and add water until it almost touches the bottom of the basket.
  3. Add the artichokes to the basket and cover. Heat on high for 20 minutes.
  4. While the artichokes are steaming, make the sauce. Melt the butter in a saucepan or the microwave and then combine with the lemon juice.
  5. Carefully remove the artichokes from the steamer basket and serve with the dipping sauce.
