Stovetop Teriyaki Pork Chops

  • 6 pork chops
  • 1 tbsp garlic olive oil
  • 1/2 cup chopped onion
  • 3/4 cup water
  • 1/4 cup teriyaki sauce
  • 1/4 cup ketchup
  • 2 Tbsp brown sugar
  • 4 teaspoons corn starch
DIRECTIONS
  1. Brown chops and onion slowly in hot oil on both sides; drain.
  2. Combine 1/2 cup of water with next 3 ingredients; pour over chops.
  3. Cover and simmer 30 minutes; turn chops over and cook 30 minutes longer.
  4. Remove from pan.
  5. Dissolve corn starch in remaining water; stir into pan.
  6. Cook and stir until sauce boils and thickens. Return chops and coat both sides with sauce.
  7. Serve with cooked white rice.
