Strawberries with Basil & Balsamic Vinegar
  • Servings: 3-4 as a side dessert
  • Preparation Time: 5 min + 30 min in fridge
  • 2 quarts strawberries, sliced (approx. 2 Litres)
  • 1 Tbsp balsamic vinegar
  • 2 tsp sugar
  • 1-2 tbsp fresh basil leaves, chiffonade (rolled across to look like cigars and thinly sliced)
  1. Combine all the ingredients in a large bowl, toss and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes. Serve as is or on top of your favourite dessert!
FEATURING: Strawberries and basil. Another really simple recipe. Great as is or on top of your favourite dessert (vanilla cake, brownies, ice cream, etc.) It is a great way to use up strawberries that are not the freshest anymore!
