Strawberry Cake
  • Servings: 8-10
  • Cake:
  • 1 box white cake mix
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1 small box strawberry jello
  • 4 eggs
  • 3 Tbsp flour
  • 3/4 cup strawberries-mashed
  • 1 cup cooking oil
  • Icing:
  • 1 stck butter, softened
  • 1/4 cup strawberries- mashed
  • 1 box powdered sugar, sifted
  1. Cake: Mix together and bake at 350 degress in a long glass dish. Bake 25-30 minutes or until toothpick tests done. Let cool before icing. Icing: Beat until smooth. Smooth over entire cake. Garnish with fresh strawberries if desires.
This cake is so good when you have fresh strawberries but even frozen are delicious. This cake can be the highlight of a family dinner or a picnic and elegant for a shower, anniversary or wedding. I like to garnish top with whole berries.
