Stuffed Shells with Pasta Sauce

  • * 1/2 lb. ground beef
  • * 1/2 lb. Italian sausage, ground
  • * 4 oz. cream cheese
  • * 12 jumbo shells
  • * 1 Tbl. oil
  • * 1/2 med. onion, chopped
  • * 1/2 bell pepper, chopped
  • * 1 can (4 oz.) mushrooms, drained
  • * 1 jar (14 oz.) pasta sauce (red)
  • * 1 tsp. minced garlic
  • * 1 tsp. Italian seasoning
  • * 1/2 cup shredded cheese
DIRECTIONS
  1. 1. Slightly brown ground beef and Italian sausage
  2. 2. Drain and cool
  3. 3. Mix in cream cheese (works best when mixing with your hands)
  4. 4. Set aside
  5. 5. Saute onions and peppers in oil
  6. 6. Add mushrooms, pasta sauce, garlic and Italian seasonings
  7. 7. Spray an 8 x 8 baking dish with non-stick spray
  8. 8. Stuff shells with meat mixture
  9. 9. Pour sauce evenly over shells
  10. 10. Sprinkle with shredded cheese
  11. 11. Bake 350 degrees 20 minutes
