INGREDIENTS
- 1.5 – 2 lbs of ground sausage
- 1 T of sage
- salt
- pepper
- 1c chopped onions
- 1c chopped celery
- canned chicken broth
- plain bread croutons
- 1 egg
- 1/4 cup milk
DIRECTIONS
- Sauté sausage, rinse and drain
- In another pan, add 2 sticks butter, melt. Add onion, celery, salt, pepper, sage to sauté veggies.
- Add Chicken broth
- Add sausage..simmer for 15-25 mins.
- Add croutons till moist.
- Add whole egg and 1/4 c milk, mix well
- bake with foil for 45 mins at 350 (or stuff in turkey)
- when checking cooking, place several thin pats of butter on top to crust
