Summer's Best Strawberry Rhubarb Crisp

  • 4 cups cut up rhubarb
  • 2 cups sliced strawberries
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 3/4 cup flour
  • 2 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/3 cup room temp butter
DIRECTIONS
  1. Heat oven to 350 degrees
  2. Place fruit in a 10"x 6" x 2" deep ungreased baking pan. (preferrably glass)
  3. Sprinkle with salt
  4. Add Sugar flour and cinnamon into a bowl and add butter.
  5. mix until crimbly
  6. Sprinkle over fruit
  7. Bake 45-50 minutes
  8. Serve warm and maybe even with ice cream.
RECIPE BACKSTORY
Moving down south I am unable to get Rhubarb that is worth eating and I can't even grow it here! Its such a downer to have this fabulous recipe from my Grandmother, and not be able to make it :(
