Summery Lime-Mango Shortcakes

  • 1/4 cup white sugar
  • 1 tablespoon grated lime zest
  • 1 tablespoon poppy seeds
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons salt
  • 1/2 cup vegetable shortening
  • 1 egg
  • 1 cup buttermilk
DIRECTIONS
