Swiss Steak and Potatoes
  • Cooking Time: 4 hours
  • Preparation Time: 20 mins
  • 1 (141/2 oz) can stewed, sliced tomatoes, not drained
  • 1 (12 oz) jar fat free beef flavored gravy
  • 1/4 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1 lb bag fresh mini carrots
  • 2 medium onions, quartered
  • 1 lbd eye of round, cut into 1/2 inch thick steaks
  • 4 medium potatoes, washed
  1. Spray a slow cooker with non fat cooking spray
  2. In a large bowl combine the tomatoes, gravy, thyme, carrots and onions together until well mixed
  3. Place the meat into the misture, making sure the meat is comletely covered with the sauce
  4. Place the potatoes on top
  5. Cover and cook on high for 4 hours or on low for 8 hours. The recipe is completely cooked after cocumented time, however themeal can remain in the slow cooker for up to 1 hour longer with out burning
