THANKSGIVING CELERY
INGREDIENTS
  • 4 cup diagonally sliced celery
  • 1 cup water chestnuts, thinly sliced
  • 1/4 cupupchopped pimento
  • 1 can cream of chicken soup
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1/2 cup sliced almonds, toasted
  • 1/2 to 1 cup Bread crumbs
DIRECTIONS
  1. Cook celery in boiling water 8 minutes.
  2. Drain.
  3. Mix with chestnuts, pimento, and soup.
  4. Season with salt and pepper.
  5. Pour into greased 2 quart casserole.
  6. Top with crumbs and almonds.
  7. Bake at 350 degrees for 35 minutes.

This is a very different way to provide a veggie at a meal. There are not too many ways to cook celery as a side dish.
