Taco Soup
INGREDIENTS
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 1 can stewed tomatoes
  • 1 can water
  • 1 can corn
  • 1 can rotel tomatoes, optional
  • 1 can ranch style beans
  • 1 pkg. taco seasoning
  • 2 small cans tomato sauce
  • fritos, grated cheese, onion, and sour cream for garnish
DIRECTIONS
  1. Brown meat and onion in dutch oven. Add stewed tomatoes, rotel, water, corn , tomato sauce, beans and taco seasoning. Bring to a boil and simmer 30 minutes or until you are ready to eat. We like to serve it over corn chips and top with cheese, sour cream and onion if desired.
  2. Sometimes I make it up and put it in the crock pot if I am having guests later and want to keep it hot.
RECIPE BACKSTORY
I've been making this soup for many years and it's still a favorite. It's easy to serve when you have guests also.
