INGREDIENTS
  • 2 large onions, sliced
  • 2 green peppers, chopped
  • 3 tablespoons shortening
  • 1 pound hamburger
  • 1/2 cup uncooked rice
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 2 cans canned tomatoes
DIRECTIONS
  1. Cook onions and green pepper slowly in shortening until onions are yellow. Add hamburger and cook until falls apart. Add tomatoes, rice and seasoning. Arrange in large covered casserole. Bake 375 degrees for 45 minutes
