Texas Sheet Cake

INGREDIENTS
  • 2 cups flour
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 2 cubes margarine (1 cup)
  • 4 TBS. cocoa
  • 1 cup water
  • ½ cup sour cream
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 1 tsp. soda
  • 1 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • ½ tsp. salt
  • Frosting:
  • 1 cube margarine
  • 1/3 cup milk
  • 4 TBS. cocoa
  • Boil all together and then add 4 cups powdered sugar (1 box) and 1 cup nuts
DIRECTIONS
  1. Mix together and set aside:
  2. 2 cups flour
  3. 2 cups sugar
  4. Bring to boil. Stir constantly
  5. 2 cubes margarine (1 cup)
  6. 4 TBS. cocoa
  7. 1 cup water
  8. Combine with hot mixture:
  9. ½ cup sour cream
  10. 2 eggs, beaten
  11. 1 tsp. soda
  12. 1 tsp. cinnamon
  13. 1 tsp. vanilla
  14. ½ tsp. salt
  15. Pour into a 17 X 11 pan
  16. Bake 400 for 20 minutes
RECIPE BACKSTORY
My favorite dessert as a child. So big we would have to store the cake in the laundry room when I was young. I would sneak off and eat it all day and my mother we be fumming by the time she figured it out!! So good.
