The Best Key Lime Pie
INGREDIENTS
- 1 (5 1/3 oz) package graham crackers, crushed
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1/4 cup butter, plus
- 2 tablespoons butter, melted
- 3 egg yolks
- 1 (14 oz) can sweetened condensed milk
- 1/2 cup key lime juice
- 1/3 cup powdered sugar
- 1 1/2 teaspoons lime rind, grated
- 1 cup whipping cream
- 1/3 cup powdered sugar
DIRECTIONS
- Combine graham crackers crumbs, sugar and butter and press into pie plate.
- Combine egg yolks, condensed milk, lime juice, powdered sugar and rind and spoon into pie crust.
- Bake at 325° for 30 minutes. Cool completely on a wire rack and chill for 2 hours. Whip cream and powdered sugar and spoon on top of chilled pie.
