Toffe Bar Candy
  • 1 C. sugar
  • 1 C. butter
  • 2 T. water
  • 1 T. white syrup
  • pinch of salt
  1. Cook above ingredients to hard crack stage, stirring all the time.
  2. Pour over slivered almonds onto buttered pan.
  3. Cut into squares while warm, then pour melted milk chocolate bar over all.
This is the first recipe I've posted prior to making the recipe and knowing it is a good one. However, this recipe is one I plan to try this holiday season. I found it in an old community cookbook and it has to be good because the lady who provided the recipe was an excellent cook.
