Triple-Nut Diamonds

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 cup flour
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup cold butter, divided
  • 1/2 cup packed brown sugar
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • 1/4 cup heavy whipping cream
  • 2/3 cup each chopped pecans, walnuts, and almonds
DIRECTIONS
  1. Line a greased 9-inch square baking pan with foil
  2. Grease the foil
  3. Set aside
  4. In a bowl, combine the flour and sugar
  5. Cut in 1/4 cup cold butter until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs
  6. Press into the prepared pan
  7. Bake at 350 F for 10 minutes
  8. In a saucepan, heat the brown sugar, honey, and the remaining butter until bubbly
  9. Boil for one minute
  10. Remove from the heat
  11. Stir in the cream and the nuts
  12. Pour over the crust
  13. Bake for 16-20 minutes longer or until the surface is bubbly
  14. Cool on a wire rack
  15. Refrigerate for 30 minutes
  16. Using the foil, lift the bars out of the pan
  17. Cut into diamonds
