Turkey Or Chicken Pot Pie

INGREDIENTS
  • 1/3 cup margarine or butter
  • 1/3 cup Bisquick
  • 1/3 cup chopped onion
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 1/2 cups water
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons chicken bouillon (I use 1 cube)
  • 1 10 oz package frozen vegetables (I use mixed)
  • 2 cups cut up cooked chicken or turkey
  • 1 cup Bisquick
  • 1/2 teaspoon celery seeds
  • 1/4 cup cold water
DIRECTIONS
  1. Heat oven to 425
  2. Heat butter in 2 qt saucepan over low heat till melted. mix in 1/3 cup bisquick, onion, salt, and pepper. Cook over low heat stirring constantly until mixture is bubbly.
  3. Remove from heat stir in water, milk and chicken bouillon. Heat to boiling stirring constantly. Boil and stir 1 minute. Sauce thickens
  4. Stir in chicken and frozen vegetables. Heat through. Keep warm over low heat.
  5. Mix 1 cup Bisquick, celery seed and 1/4 cup water until forms soft ball. Smooth dough into a ball on surface floured with Bisquick. Knead 5 times. Pat dough into shape of dish you are using.
  6. Pour chicken/turkey mixture into ungreased 2 qt. dish. Place dough over dish. Cut slits in center of dough to allow steam to escape
  7. Bake uncovered about 15 minutes till crust is brown
