Unstuffed Cabbage Casserole

INGREDIENTS
  • 1 medium onion -- chopped
  • 3 tablespoons butter or margarine
  • 3/4 pound lean ground beef
  • 1/8 teaspoon pepper
  • 6 cups shredded cabbage
  • 15 ounces spaghetti sauce
DIRECTIONS
  1. Fry and break apart ground beef; drain. Saute onion in butter till tender. Add beef and pepper to onion. Put half of cabbage in a 2 quart casserole; cover with meat mixture. Cover with remaining cabbage. Pour spaghetti sauce over all. Bake covered, at 350° for 1 hour.
  2. This is the same flavor as stuffed cabbage, but soooo much easier
