Vanilla Pound Cake

  • 2 Cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 Teaspoon salt
  • 2 Cups softened margarine
  • 1 1/2 Teaspoons vanilla
  • 1 1/2 Cups sugar
  • 1/4 Teaspoon baking powder
  • 5 Large eggs, at room temperature
  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Spray a bread pan with nonstick spray. In a mixing bowl, combine salt and flour. With an electric mixer, beat together sugar, vanilla and margarine until fluffy. Slowly add in eggs. Turn to low and add flour slowly just to mix. Pour batter into loaf pan and smooth top to even out. Bake for 75 minutes.
