Vegan Chili
INGREDIENTS
- 1 onion
- 1 tablespoon oil
- 1 large can kidney beans
- 1 large can tomato sauce
- 1 tablespoon chili powder
- 1/4 teaspoon pepper
- 1 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 package Morning Star Farms meat substitute crumbles (frozen)
DIRECTIONS
- I got this recipe from my mom who got it from her mom. Since my mom is vegan, though, she altered the recipe a little. This is another super easy and ridiculously delicious vegan recipe.
- Ingredients:
- 1 onion
- 1 tablespoon oil
- 1 large can kidney beans
- 1 large can tomato sauce
- 1 tablespoon chili powder
- ¼ teaspoon pepper
- 1½ teaspoon salt
- 1 package Morning Star Farms meat substitute crumbles (frozen)
- Directions:
- Sauté onion in oil. Add kidney beans, tomato sauce, chili powder, pepper, and salt, and simmer for 45 minutes. Add meat substitute crumbles (yes, I realize that sounds pretty disgusting, but I promise it tastes good) and cook for an additional 15 minutes.
