Vinegar Pie
INGREDIENTS
  • Cooking Time: 30 minutes, about
  • Servings: about 6
  • Preparation Time: 20 minutes
  • 2 c sugar
  • 2 egg yolks
  • Zest of 1 lemon, finely chopped
  • 4 T butter
  • 2 C cold water
  • 6 T flour
  • 10 T cider vinegar
  • unbaked pie shells
DIRECTIONS
  1. Heat oven to 375
  2. In a sauce pan cook all the above ingredients until thick
  3. Pour into ready made pie shells
  4. Bake until set and pie shell turns golden, about 20-30 minutes
  5. Use egg whites to make a meringue for the top.
