Walnut Fudge Frosting
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 1/4 cup light corn syrup
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 2 squares unsweetened chocolate
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1/2 cup walnuts, chopped
  1. In a deep saucepan, combine sugar, corn syrup, milk, butter, chocolate and salt. Stir together over low heat until chocolate and butter melt. Bring to full, rolling boil, stirring constantly; continue to cook for 1 minute. Remove from heat and cool for 10 minutes. Beat mixture until lukewarm. Stir in vanilla and nuts; beat smooth. Add a few extra drops of milk if needed to obtain desired spreading consisitency.
