Wassail Bowl with Cloved Orange

- I orange
- Whole cloves to cover the orange
- 1 gallon apple cider (16 cups)
- 6 whole cloves
- 6 whole allspice
- 2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
- 1 6 ounce can frozen orange juice concentrate
- 1/2 cup packed brown sugar
- 2 Tbsp lemon juice
- 3 inch cinnamon sticks (optional)
DIRECTIONS
- In covered 6 quart saucepan over low heat, simmer 2 cups apple cider, cloves, allspice and nutmeg 10 minutes.
- Pour hot liquid through strainer to remove cloves and allspice.
- Add remaining apple cider, undiluted orange-juice concentrate, brown sugar and lemon juice.
- Heat until hot, but not boiling, stirring occasionally.
- Pour hot cider into heated punch bowl.
- Add clove infused orange to punch bowl.
- Ladle 1/2 cup of hot punch into each punch cup, if desired add cinnamon stick to each serving
