White Chocolate Lager Beer And Blackberry Tart
INGREDIENTS
- 1 Tbsp Flour
- 1/4 tsp Salt
- 1/4 tsp Baking Soda
- 1 tsp Sugar
- 1/2 cup Chopped Pecans or Almonds
- 6 Tbsp Butter, Chilled and Diced into cubes
- 1 cup White Chocolate Chips
- 8 oz Cream Cheese
- 3/4 cup Heavy Whipping Cream
- 12 oz Lager Beer
- 4 cups Frozen Blackberries, Thawed
- 6 Tbsp Sugar
- 2 Tbsp Cornstarch
DIRECTIONS
- Oven Temperature: 350°F
- *Preheat oven to 350; In bowl of food processor, prepare crust by combining flour, salt, baking soda, sugar, nuts, and butter pieces
- *Process using on/off switch until ingredients are mixed and crumbly
- *Press mixture to bottom and sides of 10-inch tart pan with removable bottom
- *Place in oven and bake until lightly browned, about 18 minutes
- *Remove from oven and set aside to cool
- Tart Filling:
- *While crust is baking, prepare filling by melting chocolate chips on stove or in microwave
- *Stir well; set aside to cool
- *Place cream cheese in medium bowl; beat for 1 minute and gradually add whipping cream until thick and fluffy
- *Add melted chocolate and beat 1 minute on low speed to mix well
- *Spread chocolate mixture into prepared tart crust; chill
- Tart Topping:
- *Pour lager into heavy saucepan over medium heat; Add 2 cups blackberries and bring to boil; Boil 5 minutes
- *Mash berries; remove from heat and pour into fine mesh drainer, pressing berries to remove liquid; return juice to saucepan; add sugar & cornstarch and cook over medium-low heat until thickened, about 4 minutes
- *Remove and cool slightly; stir in remaining berries; chill
- *Serve by topping each piece with berry mixture
