Whole Wheat Apple Cake

INGREDIENTS
  • 2 cups whole wheat flour
  • ¼ cup wheat germ
  • 2 teaspoons baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup packed brown sugar
  • 4 cups peeled chopped apple
  • ½ cup oil
  • 2 beaten eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 cup chopped nuts
DIRECTIONS
  1. Combine dry ingredients.
  2. In separate bowl, combine oil, eggs, and vanilla.
  3. Stir into dry ingredients.
  4. Fold in apples and nuts.
  5. Bake in greased and floured 13x9” pan at 350° for 50 minutes.
  6. Sprinkle top with powdered sugar when cooled.
