Zesty Pepperoni Penne Casserole
INGREDIENTS
- 1 lb. lean ground beef
- 1 container (12 oz.) ricotta cheese
- 1 Jar Spaghetti Sauce (28 oz)
- 1 Package Sliced Pepperoni (I used Hormel which comes with two "packages" together-only one is needed for this recipe)
- 1 Cup Mozzarella
- 1 Box or Bag Pasta (16 oz) ( I use Penne)
- Salt, Pepper, Oregano, Garlic and Onion Powder to taste
DIRECTIONS
- *I adapted this recipe from a "pepperoni pasta casserole" one from Taste of Home. It is a filling pasta casserole that we always eat as a main dish with some salad and garlic bread!
- INGREDIENTS:
- -1 lb. lean ground beef
- -1 container (12 oz.) ricotta cheese
- -1 Jar Spaghetti Sauce (28 oz)

- -1 Cup Mozzarella
- -1 Box or Bag Pasta (16 oz) ( I use Penne)
- -Salt, Pepper, Oregano, Garlic and Onion Powder to taste
- DIRECTIONS:
- 1.) Brown Ground beef; Drain; Season with above seasonings
- 2.) Meanwhile, cook pasta according to package directions.
- 3.) Mix together spaghetti sauce, ricotta cheese and half of mozzarella. Season mixture as desired.
- 4.) When meat and pasta are ready, mix in with ricotta mixture.
- 5.) Spread in a lightly greased 2 quart casserole dish.
- 6.) Top with pepperoni slices and remaining mozzarella cheese.
- 7.) Bake at 350` for 30-40 minutes or until lightly browned and bubbling.
