INGREDIENTS
  • Cooking Time: 12-15
  • 1 c. scalded milk
  • 1/2 c. shortening
  • 1/2 c. sugar
  • 1 t. salt
  • 1 cake yeast or 1 pkg dry (check expiration date)
  • 4 1/2 c. flour
  • 3 eggs, beaten
DIRECTIONS
  1. Combine: milk, chortening, sugar and salt.
  2. Cool to lukewarm.
  3. Add yeast stir until dissolved.
  4. Add eggs, then flour.
  5. Mix to a smooth soft dough.
  6. Knead lightly and place in greased bowl.
  7. Let rise until doubled in bulk.
  8. Divide into 3rds and roll into a 9 inch circle, brush with melted butter and cut into 8-10 wedges. roll into crescent shape. brush outside with melted butter, let rise:
  9. Bake 12-15minutes
  10. At 400ยบ degrees.
